Cabinet Making (0.5 Credits, 1/2 Year)
This is an introductory course where students learn about basic design principles, various methods of lumber preparation, as well as both hand and machine joining techniques.  In addition, each student will be expected to produce one piece of freestanding furniture.  Attention will also focus on some basic tool and machine maintenance.  Students will be assessed through projects and classroom participation.

Pre-Engineering (0.5 Credits, 1/2 Year)
In this course students have the opportunity to work with a variety of different materials (wood, plastic, concrete, and soft metals) to design a product that could be mass produced on a limited scale.  The goal would be to have the ability to sell the product in order to profit and donate proceeds to a local charity.  Students will be assessed through projects and classroom participation.
