SUNY Broome to host Open House event for Hospitality Programs BINGHAMTON, NY -- This Saturday will be a day of culinary and hospitality excellence at SUNY Broome's state-of-the-art Culinary & Event Center in downtown Binghamton! The College will host an Open House where prospective students can explore programs in SUNY Broome's hospitality department. From tours of the center, to a floral design contest, and an American Culinary Federation sanctioned culinary competition, it will be a day filled with culinary artistry, creativity, and immersive learning. The Open House will run from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Nov. 23 at our Culinary & Event Center (CEC) located at 79 Exchange St., Binghamton. STUDENTS OF THE WEEK, GOLD SLIP WINNERS AT MORNING PROGRAM We celebrated two students of the week for the past two weeks at today’s Morning Program! Congratulations to Lillie Walker on being selected as student of the week! She was chosen by Ms. Kellam as student of the week for always working hard and trying her very best in class. Excellent work, Lillie! Congratulations also to Madeline Mootz she was chosen by Ms. Williams to be this week’s student of the week. As Ms. Williams stated, “Madeline always tries her best in our reading groups, trying to go above and beyond and be a role model to the others in her class.” Great job, Madeline! We also chose our gold slip winners for the past two weeks, congratulations to Ledger Dufton and Arabella McGraw! Ledger and Arabella are pictured with their prizes, well done!!

BIRTHDAYS, GOLD SLIP WINNER AT MORNING PROGRAM It was a wonderful turn out to yesterdays Morning Program, where our elementary students performed for our Veterans in attendance. Hancock Central School Presents High School Play, You Can’t Take It With You Hancock Central School is excited to announce its upcoming high school play, You Can’t Take It With You, a timeless comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. The performance will take place on Friday, November 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the Middle-High School Auditorium. Admission is free, though donations and canned goods are encouraged to support local community needs. This classic play follows the whimsical Sycamore family, whose unconventional lifestyle invites both laughs and inspiration. Their joyful approach to life contrasts with the world around them, reminding audiences of the value of living life on one’s own terms. Hancock’s talented students have been hard at work, ready to deliver a performance that is sure to entertain. To make it an evening event, the Hancock Sophomore Class will also host a dinner at the Hancock House from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. before the show. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the meal and support the Sophomore Class, then head over to the play for a memorable night.
