• At St. Bonaventure, she was added to the roster for the 2025-26 season as a veteran guard expected to bring leadership and experience to both ends of the floor.
Highlights from Laycee’s first two league games with SBU:

As a part of our PBIS initiative in the elementary school, there is now a bulletin board that can visually recognize students that are 'caught being good.' Positive things happen at our school each day and students will have the opportunity earn a fish when they are caught doing something above and beyond basic expectations.
Our first 'catch' was Dawson Dufton from 4th grade, who helped a friend clean up a mess in the cafeteria without being asked. Great job, Dawson!
Who will be the next one caught? 🎣

Our 3rd graders had an amazing time celebrating Halloween! Students created beautiful watercolor pumpkins, made Halloween wreaths, and even worked on some spooky math activities. Thanks to our wonderful parents, there were also lots of yummy snacks to enjoy!
And of course… a little friendly teacher 6~7 fun added to the excitement!
Special thanks to Mrs. Cooper for sharing these great moments from the day!

Ms. Kellam’s 4th grade art students have been hard at work learning about warm and cool colors and experimenting with two ways to create color gradients using each!
To showcase their new skills, and the spirit of Fall at HCS, they created vibrant scenes featuring cauldrons, pumpkins, bats, and trees.
Students focused on artistic processes and the elements of art, while adding plenty of their own creative flair to make each piece unique. Great job, Wildcats!

Yesterday, several of our HCS and BOCES team members joined the NYSCATE Leadership & Innovation Showcase in Binghamton to share ideas, connect, and inspire future-ready practices. A huge thank you to everyone who represented us with enthusiasm and expertise!
A special shout-out to:
• Our educators bringing real-world innovation to the classroom
• Our tech specialists and support staff helping make it all possible
• The administrators and leaders who champion this work every day
Together, we’re committed to leveraging technology and collaboration to enhance teaching, learning, and student outcomes. Coming away from the Showcase energized, connected, and ready to bring fresh ideas back to our community.
Students in Mrs. Keller’s Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) class recently demonstrated their growing culinary skills through a variety of hands-on cooking activities.
As part of their coursework, students learned how to use a pasta machine to create fresh pasta, which they then hung to dry. They also prepared garlic knots completely from scratch using yeast-based pizza dough, gaining experience with dough preparation and baking techniques.
In addition, students explored flavor development by browning butter to achieve a nutty, caramelized taste for their cookies. To round out the lesson, they baked pumpkin quick bread, applying their understanding of measurement, mixing methods, and oven safety.
Through these experiences, Mrs. Keller’s students are developing essential life skills while building confidence and creativity in the kitchen.
Nice work, everyone!
