Families, as a reminder, we have moved to an online athletic registration process that will replace the paper copies we used in the past. If your child would like to participate in a Winter sport, please click on the online registration link below:

LEARNING IN THE KITCHEN WITH MRS. KELLER’S FACS CLASSES!
Our HCS students have been busy building their culinary skills and exploring new flavors in Mrs. Keller’s Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) classes!
Global Flavors: Kicking off their culinary journey in Italy with chicken parmesan, homemade tomato sauce, and zucchini sautéed with Italian herbs!
Culinary 1: Exploring salads and dressings while learning all about emulsions!
7th Grade FACS: Baking Maine pumpkin bread and learning how baking soda works as a leavening agent in quick breads.
Healthy Cuisine: Bringing a taste of France to the kitchen with French onion soup, focusing on lighter ingredients and balanced choices.
From exploring international cuisine to learning essential cooking techniques, our students are gaining valuable skills they can use for a lifetime!

WELCOME TO HCS, COURTNEY TUTHILL!
Please join us in welcoming Courtney Tuthill to the HCS family! Courtney is our new MS-HS Health Office Secretary, and she is already a familiar face in the Hancock community. A proud 2014 graduate of Hancock Central School and 2016 graduate of SUNY Delhi, Courtney brings a strong passion for education and helping others to her new role.
Courtney previously worked as a substitute supporting students in grades K–12 and continues to give back to our community as a 4-H Leader.
Outside of school, Courtney is a proud mom of two daughters and a true horse lover! She enjoys spending time at the barn with horses of all sizes and cows, provides introductory horsemanship lessons, and enjoys showing her horses locally. When she's home, you can often find her spending time with her Beagle!

CONSTRUCTION-TECHNOLOGY CAREER DAY
Yesterday, several of our HCS students had the exciting opportunity to attend Construction-Technology Career Day at the Broome County Highway Department facility!
This hands-on event gave students the chance to explore careers in the construction and technology fields, learn more about the skills and education needed for a variety of career pathways, and connect with professionals working in these industries.
We are proud to provide our students with opportunities like this that help them discover new interests, explore potential careers, and begin thinking about their futures beyond high school!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible for our students!

Please note, today, Thursday, October 8, we are conducting our Early Dismissal Drill. Plan for students to be dismissed 15 minutes earlier than a normal Thursday, therefore, students will arrive home around 15 minutes earlier than normal.
DCMO BOCES is closed on Friday, October 9. Students who go to BOCES all day will not have school on Friday. For students that go to BOCES for half day (AM or PM) CTE programming, you are expected to be in attendance at Hancock CSD during the morning or afternoon for your academic classes, whichever part of the day you would normally come to Hancock. Bus transportation will be available as normal in the morning and the afternoon. For students who cannot self-transport and need to be at school all day, supervision and space will be provided. If you are arriving late or leaving early due to this schedule, please bring a note into the Main Office. Thank you.

D-H GOLF SENIOR RECOGNITION DINNER
Last night, our D-H Golf team celebrated a special evening at French Woods Golf Course as our 11th and 12th grade golfers were invited to enjoy a round of golf alongside their families. Afterward, everyone gathered for dinner and a special senior recognition ceremony.
We are proud to recognize and celebrate our senior golfers for everything they have accomplished, contributed, and brought to the D-H Golf program throughout their years in school. Their dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment have helped make our program stronger, and we are grateful for all they have given to D-H Golf. Congratulations, seniors!
A special thank you to Russell and Lynn Bass and the entire French Woods Golf Course crew for taking such great care of our golf team throughout the season and for helping make last night's celebration so special.

A special congratulations to Wyatt Persbacker, who earned 2nd overall with a score of 78 and was also selected as a MAC 1st Team All-Star for the season!
Wyatt has qualified for individual sectional play this spring, and the D-H golf team has also qualified for team sectionals this spring!
Congratulations to Wyatt and all of our D-H golfers on a great season and an exciting accomplishment! We are proud of you!

GOLF PICKS UP VICTORY AGAINST GREENE
Congratulations to our D-H golfers on their 228-247 victory over Greene last night at French Woods Golf course!
Wyatt Persbacker led the way for D-H with an even-par 36 on the day, including 2 birdies and 5 pars. Wyatt chipped in for birdie from about 30 yards out on the final hole of his final home match! Holden Dufton added a 44 with 4 pars on the day, while Cooper Wormuth shot a 47 with 2 pars. Ethan Dennis added a par, while Talan Kille added 2 pars in the round.
The win moves D-H Golf to 8-5 on the season, with their final match set for tonight in Unatego. D-H will be competing in the MAC Championships, which are currently slated for this Monday, October 5th in Delhi. D-H has also qualified for team sectional play in the Spring!
