Our 2nd graders in Ms. Milk's class wrapped up the school year by becoming published authors!
Throughout the month of June, students worked hard writing, editing, and illustrating their own personal narrative books about meaningful experiences and special memories. After completing their stories, each student had the opportunity to share their finished book with the class.
We are so proud of the creativity, effort, and growth our young authors demonstrated throughout this project. Great job, 2nd graders!

HCS GRADUATION 2026
Tomorrow is a special day as we celebrate the accomplishments of the Hancock Central School District Class of 2026!
HCS Graduation:
• Friday, June 26
• 7:00 p.m.
• MS-HS Auditorium
Guests attending the ceremony may enter through the 2nd floor entrance beginning at 6:30 p.m.

https://www.youtube.com/@hancockcentralschooldistrict
We look forward to celebrating our graduates and wish the Class of 2026 all the best as they begin the next chapter of their journey. Congratulations, graduates!!

Mrs. Cooper's 3rd grade students recently completed their "Balobby Villages" area project! As part of their study of area, students reviewed area concepts, learned about creating a bird's-eye view, and followed specific directions while using their creativity and imagination to design their own unique villages.
After completing their projects, students presented their villages to the class and explained their designs, demonstrating both their understanding of area and their communication skills.
Great job to all of our 3rd graders for their hard work, creativity, and thoughtful presentations!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the final day of school for our elementary students! Today, we recognized the hard work, achievements, and growth of our students during our Elementary Awards Ceremony and celebrated our 4th graders as they prepare to move up to the Middle-High School next year.
Our 4th grade students did an excellent job performing with their recorders and shared a beautiful slideshow that highlighted many special memories from their elementary years. It was a great opportunity to reflect on how much they have grown and accomplished during their time at HCS.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients and best wishes to our 4th graders as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey. Thank you to our students, families, and staff for making today’s celebration so special.
We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer!
