SUMMER SAFETY AT MORNING PROGRAM
It was nice to be back with you all at morning program today! During today’s program, Principal Durkot spoke with our students about summer safety. After watching a safety video, each grade discussed how there may be other ways to keep ourselves safe in the summertime. Using sunscreen and drinking lots of water is very important on hot, summer days. It is also important to ask your parents/guardians for permission before going off to play with friends.
We also chose our ‘golden trash can’ award winners for the year. Mrs. Hull’s pre-kindergarten students were chosen by Mr. Mitchell because their classroom is always in tip-top shape. Since they received the award, they will be having a pizza party soon!
Excellent work, boys and girls. It was nice to see everyone at today’s morning program, we hope to see you again next week!

SECOND GRADERS VISIT TEDDY BEAR CLINIC
Yesterday, our 2nd grade boys and girls went on a field trip to the Teddy Bear clinic at UHS in Walton. At the hospital the kids had the opportunity to visit the emergency, ambulatory, and imaging departments. Outside the hospital they were able to look at the inside of an ambulance. They also got to meet K9 Edge from Delaware County Sheriff's department!
The students had a great day experiencing what it would be like if they ever found themselves in an emergency situation. We would like to thank everyone who made this trip possible!
