THANKFUL QUILT PROJECT

Our 1st and 2nd graders teamed up recently for a special read-aloud of Coat of Many Colors by Dolly Parton. After enjoying this heartwarming story, each student created their very own quilt square and wrote about what they are most thankful for.

The result? A beautiful “Thankful Quilt” filled with gratitude, creativity, and kindness.

We’re so proud of our young Wildcats for celebrating thankfulness in such a meaningful way!

ENGINEERING DAY

Last week, our 5th grade and 8th grade students from HCS had the exciting opportunity to take part in Engineering Day at BOCES!

We are incredibly proud of every student who participated! Your willingness to explore, ask questions, test ideas, and solve problems together truly represents the best of our school community.

Thank you to BT-BOCES, as well as the adult volunteers and local business partners who helped make this day so meaningful. You helped create an environment full of energy, learning and fun!

HOME & CAREERS SPOTLIGHT

Mrs. Keller’s Home and Careers students have been busy in the kitchen! Recently, her 7th graders were invited to enjoy the meals they prepared during their lunch periods.

One menu featured a delicious spread of steak with mushrooms, green beans, and rice. Meanwhile, the other 7th grade class completed their own menu with a tasty lineup of salsa, tacos, and tres leches cake!

This experience is part of their Dinner Party Project, where students design their own menu while learning about professional kitchen setup and table service. Great job, everyone, your hard work and culinary creativity are truly impressive!
