SENIOR TRIP
Our seniors are on their way back home from their Senior Trip! From enjoying all the activities aboard the ship to exploring the beautiful Canadian cities of Saint John and Halifax, there has been no shortage of adventure!
Students hiked to see the famous Reversing Falls in Saint John, explored local shops, and experienced the unique culture of the area. In Halifax, they had the opportunity to visit historic sites, tour museums, enjoy the waterfront, and take in all the sights the city has to offer.
We are especially proud of our seniors, who have received numerous compliments from ship staff and fellow travelers for their kindness, enthusiasm, and outstanding behavior throughout the trip. They have represented Hancock Central School with pride, and we look forward to hearing even more about their adventures when they return home. Next stop, graduation!!

The annual First to Say Thank You event was held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Windsor High School.
The First to Say Thank You event recognizes graduating seniors who have chosen to serve our country through enlistment in the United States Armed Forces. The event serves as an opportunity for schools, families, and communities to celebrate these young men and women and acknowledge both their commitment to service and the educators who helped shape their path.

Earlier this week, we proudly celebrated Class Day as we recognized the accomplishments of students across our high school.
Students in grades 9–11 were honored for their hard work, dedication, and achievements throughout the school year. We are incredibly proud of each of these students and the effort they have put into reaching their goals.
We celebrated the Hancock Central School Class of 2026, recognizing our seniors with scholarships, awards, and special honors as they prepare to graduate. Their commitment, leadership, and perseverance have left a lasting impact on our school community, and we couldn't be prouder of all they have accomplished.
We also honored and gave recognition to Audrey Price and Loa Noyd, as they will be retiring from HCS this year. We are thankful for the many years of service to our school and community that the two of you have provided. We hope you have a happy and healthy retirement!
Congratulations to all of our award recipients! We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 once again at graduation and wish all of our students continued success in the years ahead.

We are incredibly proud of everything this class has accomplished and can't wait to see all they achieve as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey.
Congratulations to all of our 8th graders! We hope you have a fun, safe, and relaxing summer, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the fall as the Class of 2030 and our newest freshmen!

Thank you to Joseph Mednikoff and Case Taylor from the GoGreen BMX Big Airshow for visiting HCS today!
Students had an exciting experience as the team shared an inspiring message about following your dreams and working hard to achieve your goals. The visit also featured some incredible BMX demonstrations, including high-flying tricks on the ramp. Case impressed students by performing a variety of aerial stunts, even safely jumping his bike over several HCS staff members!
We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and bring such an energetic and motivational experience to our students!
Our students in grades 2-8 had an out-of-this-world experience on Friday as they stepped inside a traveling planetarium right here at HCS!
A huge thank you to the Kopernik Observatory & Science Center for bringing this incredible hands-on learning opportunity to our students. From exploring the night sky to discovering the wonders of space, our Wildcats enjoyed an unforgettable journey through the universe while expanding their knowledge of astronomy and science.
