The Hancock Central School District welcomed local senior citizens to the high school cafeteria Thursday, November 14, for its annual Thanksgiving Senior Luncheon.
Superintendent Terry Dougherty and PK-12 Principal Julie Bergman greeted more than 30 guests, including Board of Education President Terry Whitt and Vice President Rebecca Smith. Cafeteria Supervisor Joanne Smith and her staff prepared a Thanksgiving-style meal, complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, salad, fruit and peanut-butter pie.
Our Hancock MS/HS Band played holiday music under the direction of Loa Noyd during the event, which has taken place annually for more than 20 years.
