Bolster, Felter top Cats of 2022
The Hancock Central School District is proud to recognize Lindsey Bolster as valedictorian and Madison Felter as salutatorian of Hancock Central School’s Class of 2022, which will graduate together Friday, June 24. The in-person graduation ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. on the HCS football field and will be open to the public.
HCS Class of 2022 Valedictorian Lindsey Bolster earned the top academic average while participating in a variety of activities on and off campus. A four-year member of the high school band, Lindsey has held offices for Journalism Club (president/treasurer), Spanish Club (vice president), National Honor Society (treasurer), and Yearbook Club (treasurer).

Inducted into the Hancock chapter of the NHS as a junior, Lindsey also has been active in the student-empowering Yes Leads program. She also finds time to earn money as a part-time waitress and to volunteer for the Hancock Community Education Foundation’s After School Program.

Lindsey is the daughter of John Bolster Sr. and Brandi Swartwout from Hancock. She plans to major in human development at SUNY Oswego and hopes to become a social worker or counselor.

HCS Class of 2022 Salutatorian Madison Felter ranks second academically and is deeply involved in high school clubs, sports and other activities. She serves as president of Hancock’s chapter of the National Honor Society and Spanish Club, co-president of Student Council, and Vice President of both the Journalism and Yearbook clubs.

Inducted into the NHS as a junior, Madison is a member of Yes Leads and has played four varsity basketball seasons for the Deposit-Hancock Eagles. A 4-H member for all four years of high school, Madison also is a part-time waitress/babysitter who has volunteered for the HCEF’s After School Program.

Madison is the daughter of Shawn and Angela Felter from Fishs Eddy. She plans to study psychology and criminal justice at Hartwick College and hopes to become a behavioral analyst.
