The Hancock Central School District has scheduled its annual test of the early dismissal plan for Friday, October 16, 2020.
Students will be released 15 minutes earlier than their normally scheduled time (at the HCS facility). Hancock BOCES students at sites other than HCS will be released earlier so that all students can leave the high school parking lot at approximately 2:15 p.m.
It is important to note that in the event of a real emergency, procedures may be carried out without advance notice. Children may be coming home to either empty homes or locked doors. Parents must make contingency plans with their children in the event of an emergency, especially if the children require supervision.
Please make appropriate arrangements for the early arrival of your children as a result of this drill. If you have questions, please contact your child’s principal or call the Transportation Department at 607-637-5322.
