The Hancock Ecumenical Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry sent this pleasant thank-you note to us for hosting a community food drive in December.
Hancock teacher and food drive coordinator Kristy White shared the card with the entire district via email. The message inside the card reads:
“To: Hancock Central School
Thank you for having a Food Drive for your Hancock Community.
The food you collected will provide many meals for the less fortunate.
You are amazing!!
Loaves + Fishes”
We think you’re “double-exclamation-point amazing,” too, for helping people year-round.
According to St. Paul’s webpage http://www.stpaulshancock.org/church_programs.htm, the food bank was formed more than 30 years ago with a mission to serve the poor. It operates strictly on donations of food and money.
