Dear Hancock Parent/Caretaker/Guardian:
This afternoon, at approximately 12:20 pm, a packaged, gray, powder-like substance was recovered from the third-floor hallway ofthe middle/high school building. Suspecting the package might contain an illegal narcotic substance, HCS administrators immediately contacted local law enforcement so that the nature of the packaged substance could be confirmed.
The results of lab testing confirmed the substance was innocuous and non-drug related in nature.
The health, safety and welfare of our students, faculty and staff are our primary concern. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns regarding this matter.
