Hancock Salutatorian on TV 2019

If you saw Hancock senior Erin Evanitsky on TV this morning, you weren’t dreaming.

CBS This Morning gave our Class of 2019 salutatorian some serious facetime Thursday morning, June 20, as Erin spoke to the importance of choosing a military career after high school graduation.

“You get hands-on job training in the Army and then, afterwards, they can pay for your schooling with the G.I. Bill,” Erin said on camera during CBS This Morning’s report on Our Community Salutes: Salute to Service.

Erin and classmate Tommy Letosky recently traveled to the Windsor Central School District to attend a celebration for high school students who will enlist in the military after graduation. Both seniors will join the Army following the 2019 Hancock High School Graduation Ceremony, which is set for 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, in the Hancock Middle School/High School Auditorium.

Thanks for giving Hancock another reason to smile!
