Sidney Federal Credit Union honored Hancock High School senior Thomas Schoonmaker with its SFCU Scholarship, presented Tuesday morning, May 28, in the high school guidance office.
Thomas added the scholarship to his already impressive academic achievements, highlighted by the Associate in Science Degree he earned from Tompkins Cortland Community College last Thursday.
The first student to complete Hancock’s Pathway to a Community College Degree program, Thomas is also a 2018 Akshar All-Star and a Midstate Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete.
