YES LEADers teach kids an important lesson

YES LEADers teach students 2019

Hancock High School YES LEADers taught third- and fourth-graders about the dangers of drugs and alcohol Thursday, June 13, at Hancock Elementary School.

YES LEADers gave a short presentation on the difference between legal and illegal drugs and how they can affect our community. Our littles then participated in interactive games and activities – such as relay races and a dollar-bill jump – that illustrated how drugs, alcohol and tobacco negatively affect the body.

Our YES LEADers, under the direction of advisor Meghan Smith, are Sierra Francisco, Michael Makowski, Roger Newman, Mariah Rosengrant, Katherine Smith and Kelsey Young.

Thank you for being true leaders of our schools and community!
