Folders.  Each child has a folder with the right side labeled for papers to be left at home and the left side for things that need to be returned right away.  I will send the folder home each day and it should come to school with your child each day. Please put any notes or money in the folder it will be checked each morning.

Good times.  Kindergarten is not only an academic year it is also your child’s first experience with school.  It is our goal to make the year a positive one so that the children have a love for learning.

Hooks- Each child will have a hook to hang coats and backpacks on.

Independence.  Your child is learning to do more on his/her own.  Please encourage this independence especially in shoe tying, zippers, snaps and cold weather dressing.

Jobs. Classroom jobs will be done by the calendar helper each day.  The calendar helper is the child who brings in snack for the day.  Jobs included are: line leader, pass out snack, and take attendance down to the main office. Each child will get at least one chance a month to be the helper.
