Hancock Central School District Goals

I.  Promote continuous improvement of academic achievement.

Objective 1:  
Working with a cross-curricular partner or team, every teacher will plan and implement at least one CCLS module or unit.

Objective 2:
Evaluate, fully articulate and continue to implement Response to Intervention (RTI) district-wide.

Objective 3:    
Update and fully articulate the changes to streamline the APPR with a focus on the NYSUT rubric indicators for the 2013–2014 school year.

Objective 4:    
Prepare for the PARCC assessments: ensure technological capacity; prepare students for online testing; update staff on PARCC status; and provide professional development as required.

Objective 5:    
Create a strategic roll-out plan for the CFS Teams: establish norms, procedures and activities; build facilitation and leadership capacity; and provide corresponding staff development and support.

II. Promote fiscal responsibility in light of increasing economic and demographic changes.

Objective 1:    
Identify and provide online training opportunities for office staff.

Objective 2:    
Cross-train the superintendent’s secretary on payroll and accounts payable.

III. Promote continual evaluation, optimal usage, and long-range planning for Athletics,   Facilities, Food Service, Technology and Transportation.

Objective 1:    
Develop an updated checklist for merged teams.

Objective 2:    
Develop a series of guest speakers and other training opportunities for coaches throughout the year.

Objective 3:    
Explore and take advantage of online training opportunities for the superintendent of buildings and grounds.

Objective 4:    
Explore and implement training opportunities for the buildings and grounds staff.

Objective 5:    
Explore and provide online training opportunities for the food service director and staff.

Objective 6:    
Train staff on the new breakfast guidelines and implement the guidelines.

Objective 7:    
Attend online training to learn iPad system settings and options necessary for security and Internet safety.

Objective 8:    
Expand understanding of the mobile online distance learning capabilities as well as online learning opportunities.

Objective 9:    
Attend webinars on the “Transfinder” transportation routing system, which is being used in the Deposit Central School District.

Objective 10:
Explore and implement training for transportation staff.
